The Khamai Reptile Centre has over the past 26 years gained an enormous amount of experience with reptiles and other specialised animals in the filming industry

We have worked with many prominent film companies and presenters from throughout the World and are well known for providing a quality service.  Our curators and animal handlers take pride in their work and will never allow any animal to be harmed in any way, we are experienced enough to know how to work with a film crew so that all aspects of safety are addressed correctly.  A safety briefing is conducted each time venomous or dangerous animals are used so that the crew is aware of what they are working with.  We will always have a handler watching over crew members while dangerous animals are being filmed.

The following list of animals are generally available for filming but please contact us should you have any other specialised requests or needs:

  • Snakes - Indigenous and Exotic
  • Lizards - Including Chameleons, Monitor Lizards etc.
  • Crocodiles

  • Insects - Ants, Cockroaches, Worms, grubs etc.

  • Set building.
  • Location scouting.
  • Script and storyline verification for accuracy.
  • Presenting
  • Scouting for locals to act or appear on camera
